“God’s Gift”

Salvation begins and ends with God. I think one verse that explains it well is John 3:16. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

God loved men so much He was not willing that any should perish. This love caused Him to give the best to save fallen men. Jesus the Son of God was born of the Virgin Mary for the sole purpose to save men from their sings. The debt for sin was paid by Jesus in full when He went to the cross. What gift it has been!

However this gift must be accepted and on God’s terms. Men must believe upon Jesus and nothing else to save them from their sins. It’s more than just believing that Jesus saves from sin; it’s believing in Jesus to save you from your sins.

Jesus not only saves us but saves us forever; we have “Everlasting Life.” This is a gift that Jesus said would be a “More Abundant” life in this world but would be a more “Abundant Life” for eternity.

What a Gift God gave us on Christmas Day!!
